The Returning Entrepreneur Investment Fund (REIF) is a VC fund that started operating in 2002. The fund seeks to invest in high growth companies with revenues up to US$5 million. REIF portfolio is composed of 11 companies that are going through theis growth process – the fund’s managers have already started looking for exit alternatives.
The fund’s committed capital is US$11 million and the investors are: Inter-American Development Bank/Multilateral Investment Fund, ABN AMRO Real, SEBRAE NACIONAL and SEBRAE-SP.
FIPAC - FMIEE:
FIPAC started to operate in the second quarter of 2007. The fund target is tech, general services and pharmaceutical companies with high growth and consolidation potential within its segment.
The committed capital is US$ 70 million and the investors are: BNDES (Brazilian National Development Bank), FINEP, IDB/MIF, PETROS, CERES, FUNCEF and DGF.
Other Funds:
DGF is working on a new PE fund that will target a wide range of opportunities within the ethanol industry in Brazil, including consolidation projects, greenfields, services and equipments.
